When Dodge released the new Grand Caravan, they made sure to include all of the modern technology features that customers have come to expect. The vehicle comes standard with a Rear Backup Camera and Blind-spot Monitoring System. However, there are other technologies available for purchase aftermarket if you want them; Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning System, ParkSense Front/Rear Parking Assist System and Forward Collision Warning.

Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking

The Forward Collision Warning System uses short-range radar to detect an imminent crash. If the van does not see your foot on the brake pedal, it beeps and flashes a red light at you to warn you of the hazard ahead. Even if you do apply pressure to the brake pedal, there is only so much this system can do to stop the vehicle from crashing. It will not take into account any evasive action that you may perform and there is no guarantee that the system will work perfectly every time.
